I was born and raised in Burin, Newfoundland and moved to Fort McMurray (the Rock away from the Rock) eighteen years ago. Since laying roots here, my husband and I have been blessed with two amazing daughters who keep us very busy. Needless to say, “I Love You Forever” by Robert Munch is one of my all-time favourite books to read to them.

I have always been an avid reader and enjoyed visiting our quaint library in Burin. I remember volunteering in my small hometown library as a teenager, reading stories to the littles and the summer of my senior year was spent working at a community literacy program helping children who benefited from extra support. It is no surprise since my move in 2003, my passion for reading and programming led me to a wonderful career with outstanding people at the Wood Buffalo Regional Library.

Being a part of the Imagination Library of Wood Buffalo Foundation excites me! I love the notion of all our children being surrounded by books; it is so important for them to have access to books either through the Imagination Library, school or our public libraries. Our community collaboration makes this possible.
